Explanatory Note Regarding Deletion of Proposed Changes to Local Rule CV-6

Because the Federal Rules Advisory Committee has delayed submission of its planned amendments to Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(d) that would have eliminated the addition of 3 days for service by electronic delivery effective 12/1/2015, the Court has removed its corresponding amendments to the Local Rules, including specifically the proposed deletion of Local Rule CV-6(a). The Local Rule Advisory Committee will revisit this issue if and when federal rule change is implemented. The revised Local Rules, current through GO 15-12 and the concluded public comment period, are now available on the Court’s website.
