That standard order entered in a civil or criminal case is provided below to publicize typical practices. These unsigned documents, however, are not binding. The actual order regulating practice in a given case may vary from these templates, and the parties are free to request changes to any such order in a given case. Only the signed order filed on the docket in a case is binding. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 79(a), 83(a); Fed. R. Crim. P. 55, 57(b).
